Clare Gerada is a London-based GP and in 2010 became the first female Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 50 years.
Clare qualified at UCL Medical School in 1982 and then trained in psychiatry, working at the Maudsley Hospital on substance abuse. She started work in general practice in South London in 1992, where she has stayed ever since.
Clare was awarded an MBE in 2000 "for service to medicine and to drug misusers" and made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2020 for "services to General Practice". She has also been Director of Primary Care for the National Clinical Governance Team, Senior Medical Advisor to the Department of Health, Director of RCGP Substance Misuse Unit and Chair of Clinical Board, Primary Care Transformation, NHS England. She is Medical Director of the NHS Practitioner Health Programme (www.php.nhs.uk), which is a pioneering programme providing confidential services to doctors and dentists with mental health or addiction problems.

Dr Raj Patel has been a GP partner in Greater Manchester since 1993 and has held senior clinical leadership positions in the NHS at a local, regional and national level since 1997 as well as holding a GP advisor role at the Department of Health. He is currently the Deputy National Medical Director of Primary Care for NHS England and NHS Improvement and was formerly Medical Director of NHS England Lancashire and Greater Manchester as well as Director of Commissioning for Lancashire.
A Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Raj is a graduate of Manchester University Medical School and now sits on the General Assembly of the university. He was appointed to the General Medical Council in February 2020 and was awarded an MBE in The Queen’s Birthday honours list 2019 for services to healthcare.

Hannah Miller is a speaker, trainer and coach, who combines her own personal experiences of leadership with a tried and tested focus on people’s Strengths. Dr Pramit Patel is the Clinical Director for Care Collaborative PCN in East Surrey and is Primary Care Network Leader (PCN) for Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System.
Pramit qualified as a GP in 2011 and is a GP Partner at Greystone House Surgery in Redhill. He has a keen interest in leadership, training, minor surgery and vasectomy. He has experience in improving out of hospital care, working with both the community and secondary care colleagues.
In 2014/15 he founded Alliance for Better Care Limited, the local GP Federation, which has since gone on to serve a membership of 550,000 patients in the East Surrey and North West Sussex region; directly supporting PCNs with project management, recruitment and finance assistance.

Dr Bola Owolabi has held various clinical and leadership roles during the course of her career, including GP Partner, Clinical Commissioning Group ( CCG) Clinical Lead and STP Lead for Frailty and End of Life Care. She led the development of the Derbyshire Community Frailty Model, an anticipatory model with a focus on frailty identification, population segmentation, holistic needs assessment and personalised care planning. As Deputy Medical Director of Derbyshire Community Health Services (DCHS) NHS Foundation Trust, she led the development and implementation of the Trust's Frailty and End of Life Care strategies.
In her National role, she works as part of the Primary Care Directorate and Ageing Well Programme, contributing to the development of new standards in Community Services and Primary Care Networks to drive up quality in the care of people residing in care homes, people in community settings through an anticipatory approach and an urgent community response.

David Griffiths is a portfolio GP working in a salaried role in a 17k patient practice in Oxford and as a specialist in improving the quality and safety of healthcare systems. David is the Clinical Lead for the Time for Care Programme, which, since 2016, has helped General Practices embrace Quality Improvement skills to free up GP time and provide better services for their patients. Initially focused on implementation of the 10 High Impact Actions, the Time for Care team is now working with Primary Care Networks across the country through bespoke improvement support programmes. The programme also includes Productive General Practice (PGP) Quickstart, a series of facilitated in-house QI modules.
David was, for four years, a Programme Director for the GP Training scheme in Oxford and worked as an advisor to NHS London’s primary care transformation team, focusing on GP innovations. Prior to that, he advised Commissioning Support for London (CSL) on clinical engagement, particularly with respect to the polyclinics programme, part of the Healthcare for London strategic plan.
David has facilitated workshops throughout England looking at quality and safety in General Practice. He is passionate about training and empowering people to improve their own lives, a passion which spills over into coaching under-10s girls football (a challenging audience). David is also Medical Director at Consultant Connect a company helping GPs receive rapid advice and guidance from hospital consultants in order to improve the quality and timeliness of patient care.
