Interim Director for Primary Care, NHSE/I
Dr Ursula Montgomery is a GP who has recently taken on the role of Interim National Director for Primary Care, NHSE/I. This followed on from her previous role as Senior Clinical Advisor for Primary Care Provider Transformation at NHSE/I. Prior to joining NHSE/I, she was Clinical Chair for East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group.
Ursula has held a range of positions within healthcare including Associate Medical Director at University Hospitals of Leicester, a GP partner in Leicestershire and chair of Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland Integrated Community board. These roles have supported teams across primary, community and acute settings in the NHS to transform care for patients.

​Dr Claire Fuller, a practicing GP has recently been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for the new NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System. She moves into this role from her current position as Interim Accountable Officer at Surrey Heartlands CCG (held since July 2020) and Senior Responsible Officer and Lead for Surrey Heartlands ICS (since August 2017). Claire was asked by Amanda Pritchard to lead a national piece of work on the role of primary care networks within ICS’s - the Fuller Stocktake.
Surrey Heartlands signed a devolution agreement with NHS England and NHS Improvement in 2017 and are national leaders on the integration of health and social care. Claire believes in a population health management approach and is a national population health management champion. She is a firm advocate of the need to join up the public sector to ensure involvement of the wider determinants of health in reducing health inequalities for the people that live in Surrey.
Claire champions true citizen and professional engagement (of the broadest remit) and has led the formation and development of the Surrey Heartlands Academy, with a foundation of mixed methodology democratic engagement, and a true commitment to co-design, co-production and co-delivery of services.
Claire has been a practicing GP since 1995, spending most of her career in Surrey, with a spell in Northumberland, where she worked in a single-handed rural practice.
Claire regularly speaks nationally about the work in Surrey Heartlands, multiprofessional leadership and population health management. She has been HSJ Clinical Leader of the Year, is a member of the NHS Assembly and the National People Board.

Hannah Miller is a speaker, trainer and coach, who combines her own personal experiences of leadership with a tried and tested focus on people’s Strengths. Her fundamental belief in the importance of developing the individual and investing in the team, and her passion for progress is evident in all she does.
She has worked with teams and professionals in all sectors, large and small organisations to charities and universities. Whatever the brief, whatever the size, the focus is always the same – focus on where you are strong and build from there. Understanding who you are, how you lead, and how you think is key to both self development and the team around you.

Bola has a particular interest in reducing health inequalities through Integrated Care Models, Service Transformation and using data & insights for Quality Improvement.
She has held various leadership roles at local, system and national levels, and was, until recently, National Specialty Advisor for Older People and Integrated Person Centred-Care at NHS England and Improvement where she led the Anticipatory Care Workstream of the National Ageing Well Programme. Bola has worked with teams across NHS England/Improvement and the Department of Health and Social Care as part of the Covid 19 Pandemic response.
She is an alumnus of Ashridge Executive Education/Hult International Business School and holds a Masters degree with distinction in Leadership (Quality Improvement).
She holds an NHS Leadership Academy Award in Executive Healthcare Leadership for Clinicians.
Bola is a Generation Q Fellow of the Health Foundation, an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.

Dr Farzana Hussain has been a GP for 19 years and is a GP Principal at The Project surgery in Newham East London. She was the Clinical Director for Newham Central 1 Primary Care Network until April 2022. Farzana has held local primary care leadership roles on the GP federation and local LMC committee, and national roles as NED on National Association of Primary Care and as Co- Chair of the PCN Network at the NHS Confederation.
She is also a mum of two teenagers who passionately believes in equal healthcare for all, regardless of economic status, race or gender.

Dr Rachel Morris is a GP who grew so tired, after 15 years of seeing patients who were ill because of workplace stress, that she decided to do something about it.
Rachel taught General Practice at the University of Cambridge for several years before setting up and leading the ‘Doctor as Professional’ course. This got her interested in the leadership behaviour of professionals in high stress jobs and so she trained as an Executive and Team coach. Rachel founded Wild Monday and developed the Shapes Toolkit. She regularly lectures and delivers training around the country on wellbeing at work, resilience and productivity and is also a presenter for the Red Whale Lead. Manage. Thrive! Course for GPs. She is also on faculty for the PGCert in Medical Education at the University of Cambridge.
Rachel founded Wild Monday and works with a team of experienced associates to deliver authentic and relevant coaching and training focussing on changing behaviour.
